Volunteer

Welcome to the Forum for Green Folk (FGF), a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing environmental issues through a combination of scientific and traditional approaches, with the ultimate vision of a world where the natural environment is valued, protected, and restored for the benefit of all living beings.

In addition to our research and advocacy efforts, we also offer opportunities for individuals to get involved and make a positive impact through volunteering. Our volunteer program is designed to give a diverse cross-section of individuals the chance to work at the heart of communities, addressing issues such as climate change, waste management, impact assessments, and environmental education.

As a volunteer with FGF, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities, including community outreach, media campaigns and public awareness campaigns. Our volunteers have been instrumental in providing aid during natural disasters and have played an active role in baseline surveys, community interviews, and sensitizations.

By joining FGF as a volunteer, you’ll be contributing to the creation of more inclusive, sustainable, and progressive societies. In recognition of their work, volunteers are given a suitable stipend per working day and are also entitled to reimbursements for any official expenses.

Green Folk is seeking volunteers for three different positions: Website Development, Survey Volunteers, and Crowd funding Volunteers.

We are looking for one Website Development Volunteer to design and develop our website, upload articles, blogs, publications, and press releases, and manage our social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. This position is remote and perfect for individuals with experience in web development and a passion for sustainability.

For the Survey Volunteers position, we are seeking ten volunteers based in Kolkata to collect data by conducting surveys in different wards of Kolkata for specific projects designated to them. The ideal candidate will have a background in environmental science, anthropology, social science, or sociology.

As a Crowd funding Volunteer, you will be responsible for promoting our fundraising campaigns, seeking donations from the public, and contributing to our efforts to secure the financial resources we need to carry out our mission. We are seeking five individuals for this position, and it can be done remotely.

All three volunteer positions provide excellent opportunities to gain experience and make a positive impact in our community. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about sustainability and willing to dedicate their time and energy to our cause.
