The Forum for Green Folk (FGF) offers internship opportunities to students from universities, schools, and colleges to gain hands-on experience and familiarize themselves with the work of FGF in the field of environmental protection.
To apply for an internship, students should submit their resumes and applications through email to info@grefol.org. The application should include the desired start and end dates, reasons for applying to FGF, and the area of work they are interested in pursuing.
FGF offers a variety of assignments that can be research-based or non-research based, including areas such as environmental restoration, socio-environmental management, urban planning, air and water pollution, climate change, and environmental education. FGF will place interns in areas that align with their interests and qualifications, ensuring a meaningful experience.
Once the internship is confirmed, the internship placement coordinator will work closely with the intern to arrange their itineraries, travel, and accommodation. Expenses for travel, food, and lodging are the responsibility of the intern, but FGF will arrange for airport pickup for foreign interns and assist in arranging accommodation as needed. In addition to research-based assignments, FGF also takes interns for non-research areas such as marketing, website management, and human resources.
During the internship, candidates will receive an orientation about the organization, its administrative procedures, and will have access to all research facilities. They will also have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the organization’s people and culture. Interns will be given individual responsibility for their assigned tasks and will be guided by their supervisor throughout the internship. It is important to note that the internship program is not intended to be a training program. FGF also has a structured volunteer program for individuals who are interested in contributing to the organization’s efforts.
